Quick Post from Hong Kong Airport

Hello! We are in Hong Kong! It's rather cool (60 degrees F) and raining.

We had a nice rest last night at the hotel, and took the 6:30 hotel shuttle to the Cathay Pacific terminal. The top photo is of our plane before we left JFK Airport. I love the helicopter flying in the background. Our flight left on time at 10:10 and arrived on time in Hong Kong. Cathay Pacific was great. We each had our own personal tvs and I watched several movies. The flight was absolutely packed though -every single seat taken! The flight was 16 hours, but not too bad. We flew over the Arctic Circle!

So, we are now in the Hong Kong Airport. The second photos is our view of our plane. The pollution is absolutely terrible here in Hong Kong - disgusting! We are able to see the mountains in the distance (see photo). We are now waiting until 5:50 pm (HK time) for our China Southern Flight to leave Hong Kong and take us to Guangzhou/Baiyan Airport. There, we will retrieve our luggage and meet our guide, Wensi. She will have a driver waiting to take us to our hotel. It will be between 8:00 and 8:30 before we arrive at the hotel. We are looking forward to showering, having a bite to eat (probably at "Noodle Alley" for those of you have stayed at Shifu Holiday Inn), and getting to bed.
Tomorrow will find us exchanging our money, unpacking and getting our room ready for Aaron, purchasing a stroller, and getting familiar with the Island.
Just wanted everyone to know that we arrived in Hong Kong safely.
