9 Years Ago on Memorial Day Weekend...

9 Years - How can that be? Sometimes it seems truly like it was just yesterday. But then I look at our 3 children and know just how much has happened in the past 9 years.

Just out for a leisurely walk at Shelburne Farms, with some very fancy clothes on :)  This is my absolute favorite photo of ours.
Our photographer told us to walk down the dirt road and back and he'd get just the perfect shot. He sure did. This captures all that we were feeling on our wedding day.

In front of the Farm Barn at Shelburne Farms.

Rupert at St. Michael's before the ceremony.

During the ceremony.

Outside the church, after the ceremony.

Walking across the street for more photos. I had to hike up my dress as the grass was wet since it had rained when we were inside the church.

 The wedding party

At the Burlington Country Club, before the reception.

The photo below was taken in August of 2005, 3 months after we were married. We were in Toronto at a dinner hosted by Rupert's family to celebrate our marriage. The Chinese characters we are standing beneath are "Double Happiness," the symbol for a happy marriage. I wore red to signify "good luck," as a Chinese custom.
