Photos from our trip to Maine

We had an incredible week on the coast of Maine. We stayed at the same house we have stayed at the past 4 years. This was the best weather we have had in many years. Sunny and hot (high 90s, near 100) most of the week. The boys LOVED the ocean, and spent hours every day in it (and never complained of the temperature of the water, which was 59-61 many days, but 51 degrees on our last day). Even on the last day, the boys loved being in the water, riding the waves in on their kickboards, and playing in the sand. Here are many photos from our trip. You can see Rupert was quite busy making characters in the sand (Mike from Monsters Inc., Cars characters, including Guido and Luigi).

Maine...Here We Come!!

We leave early tomorrow morning for the coast of Maine. This is a family trip with my mom (Grandma) that we look forward to each summer. I've been going since I was 13. What a thrill to now share this with my own children. The boys are so excited. They remember "Jim's House" from last year (Jim is the man we rent the house from.).
Last night I told Donovan after we got out of the pool, "Well we are certainly going to miss the pool next week when we are in Maine." He replied, "That's okay Mommy because we are going to have a great time and you know what, when we get home from Maine, we will miss the Ocean!" True!

Not sure if we will have Internet at the house this year. If I don't post here on the blog, just know we are having a great time!

Happy 4th of July!

Donovan had a special day with Grandma on Friday, while Aaron had a special day with Mommy. (I love being able to give each boy 1:1 time with me, and each boy LOVES spending a day with Grandma!) At Grandma's house, Donovan helped to make a strawberry Jello pie (which we all LOVE) which would be our dessert tonight. He asked to put blueberries on it so it would have red and blue (and later white due to a little whipped cream on top). He was so proud of his creation!

Aaron in a new tube for the pool from Grandma (notice the American Flag theme)

The tube is so big that both boys are able to fit inside it together. They LOVE it!
