Granby Zoo

We enjoyed an incredible couple of days at the Granby Zoo in Quebec. The zoo was amazing! The boys loved the small aquarium, especially petting the rays. They enjoyed the amusement park rides, especially the ROLLER COASTER (rode it 4 times!), and WE ALL LOVED THE WATER PARK. We are already looking forward to going back next summer. Perhaps we will stay for longer and spend a day at the Bromont Water Park also!

Big Changes for Aaron

Above is Aaron before glasses, and below...with his new glasses. He is so thrilled. Especially because they change to sunglasses outside.  SO DARN CUTE!!

One last look at Aaron's childhood smile.

While Aaron was so excited to have his tooth extracted, mom was mourning the loss of his childhood smile!! (Aaron hit his tooth one year ago, and while the bruised root recovered, apparently he recently reinjured it. He developed an abcess, noticed at his cleaning and his wonderful dentist pulled it out.)

And...TA DA...Aaron's new smile. (This was taken 10 minutes after getting home.) This is going to be a  smile we see for quite a few years, as his permanent tooth is not going to be arriving anytime soon!

Aaron was thrilled to find that the Tooth Fairy left $5 in his purple velvet tooth bag. (We heard the "going rate" for a child's first tooth is often equal to how old they are. We plan on silver dollars for the subsequent teeth.) Aaron proudly deposited his money in his bank account, after telling the bank tellers all about losing his tooth and the visit form the Tooth Fairy.

And now, Aaron joins the "lost a tooth club."

Storyland June 2012

This past weekend (June 9 and 10) we went to Glen, NH to Storyland, for our first time. We had a blast! The boys LOVED the ride Bamboo Chutes (log ride) and we must have ridden it over 30 times. Sunday the park was not crowded at all and we just had the best time.

We have had the most beautiful weather this weekend! We spent about 3 hours in the pool each day! The boys had a blast! On the very first day in the pool (Saturday) both boys are swimming across the pool unassisted. They are so proud of themselves. Monday the 28th is Rupert and my 7 year wedding anniversary! Oh how time has gone by so fast! On Sunday evening Rupert and I drove to Stowe to enjoy a special anniversary dinner. My mom took Aaron and Donovan to dinner locally and then to her house for a few hours for lots fo fun. This has been a wonderful weekend. 12 more days of school and then it will offically be SUMMER VACATION! Nicole

I. Am. So. Behind. With. Blogging....

This year we are staying home over April vacation. Looks like it is going to be a cold, rainy week. Luckily, we had our mulch delivered Thurday evening, and first thing Saturday morning, (7:30 am) we were outside (boys in the sandbox and hunting for worms for Daddy's garden under rocks)and got all of it spread before the rain arrived. Lots of indoor projects for over vacation, a few playdates, appointments, but most of all, just planning to enjoy time with my two favorite boys.
I went last night to get photos developed to get caught up on my scrapbooking for the boys...Um...280 photos...YIKES! That's a lot of scrapbooking ahead of me. Realistically, I'll try to get Donovan's scrapbook up to date over this April vacation, and then Aaron's as soon as school gets out in June.
As for updating this blog...here are a few things that have been going on...

Not much snow this winter, but when we could, we went sledding. The boys LOVE to sled.

Before a birthday party for a classmate of theirs from preschool. It was held at a local gymnastics facility. The boys had a fabulous time!
